WiFi Veil v0.1.0

A privacy firewall against unauthorized WiFi sensing — compliant waveform controls only, never jamming.

Initial standalone release, extracted from the ruvnet/RuView monorepo (PR #1561). Every defense number is SYNTHETIC / evidence level L0 — reproduced by cargo test, not measured on a radio. See the README and live console for the full picture.

What's verified vs. what's source-only

Asset Status
wifi-veil crate (this repo's src/) 43+1 tests passing, deterministic proof witness pinned, cargo clippy -D warnings clean
firmware-core-build-log.txt Real make -C firmware/core test run on GitHub Actions (ubuntu-latest, host gcc) — the only firmware piece that is host-tested
veil_ris_controller_example / veil_sensing_detector_example (.bin/.elf) Real ESP-IDF v5.4 builds for esp32s3, compiled and linked locally against the actual toolchain. Building them surfaced and fixed two real bugs (wrong mqtt component name, %u/uint32_t format-string mismatch). Build-only — never flashed, no physical hardware exists for either component. A successful build is not a runtime or on-air claim.
wifi-veil-firmware-{nexmon,openwifi,openwrt}-source-SYNTHETIC.tar.gz Source skeletons only. No local toolchain exists for the Nexmon patcher, Xilinx HDL, or OpenWRT SDK, so these were not built. Every file is already labeled SYNTHETIC / L0, build-only in its own README — this release does not add any capability beyond what's already true of the source.
wifi-veil-firmware-esp32-source-and-examples-SYNTHETIC.tar.gz The ESP32 component source + the two example apps above, bundled for convenience.

Compliance

Compliant waveform controls only. The core shield applies an orthogonal (energy-preserving) keyed rotation to a node's own standards-conformant feedback — no added transmit power, no interference with other stations. Never jamming.
