Welcome to the RustForge wiki! RustForge is a modular, easily adoptable Rust test-suite template designed to scale seamlessly from basic cargo test workflows to compiler-style coverage.

- Adoption Roadmap
Most Rust projects eventually build their own custom test infrastructure—stitching together cargo test, Criterion, proptest, cargo-fuzz, trybuild, insta, cargo-llvm-cov, and CI wiring to run everything consistently.
RustForge provides that infrastructure ready-built, wired into CI, and verified to work end-to-end.
-
Truly Modular: Seven independent category crates (
syntax-tests,semantic-tests,performance-tests,fuzz-tests,integration-tests,edge-cases, and sharedcore-tests). Adopt only what you need.cargo test --workspacepulls in zero extra dependencies by default. - Comprehensive by Design: Covers syntax/compile-fail tests, semantic/ownership correctness, Criterion benchmarks with regression guards, fuzzing, snapshot testing, boundary checks, and cross-category integration tests.
-
Production-Grade CI: Multi-toolchain, multi-OS CI pipeline with a verified MSRV job,
cargo-denysupply-chain checks, Dependabot, and enforced missing documentation warnings (#![warn(missing_docs)]). -
No Lock-in: Use it as a GitHub template repository, copy
crates/into an existing workspace, or take individual crates.
