Server Installation Instructions

Nitrous.io Ruby on Rails Instructions.

1. Go to Nitrous.io and create an account.
2. In account creation, be sure to choose Ruby on Rails.
3. Once the box (your server) is created, go to boxes in the top right corner.
4. Choose the box you created and reveal its public key, then copy it.
5. Go to your account settings in codeforge and paste the public key in, then hit update.
6. Go back to Nitrous.io and click IDE for your box.
7. In the console at the bottom, paste git clone git@codeforge.cs.missouri.edu:swe-sp14gc.git to get the code.
8. cd into the webserver folder.
9. Then run the following things in the console in this order:

• bundle install --without production staging
• rake db:migrate
• rake db:seed

10. Then type rails s to start up the server! Click preview -> port 3000 at the top to view the website in action :D
11. Edit the files in webserver/app/views (or elsewhere if you want/need to) to your heart's content! The files should update after a refresh in the preview.

NOTE: You can log in as any account in development mode in order to test features out. There are a list of professor pawprints in db/seed_data/professors.txt. Type one of those pawprints as your username to log in as a professor. For example, you can log in as prof. Anything else with be a student. You can add TAs as a professor, and then log in with the pawprint you specified.
