Sorry for annoying you but there are still untranslated parts. For example most of the test centre or even on the Home Screen „coupled view” or in the section “Wecker” or the explanation text for the HRV over night and the whole journal questions.

I attached everything I found as a screen.

What you expected instead

Everything should be German.

• I checked the FAQ and — if I'm on a WHOOP 5.0 / MG — the 5.0/MG status page, and this isn't an already-known limit (e.g. SpO₂, or recovery/sleep on the 5/MG).
• I've left out anything personal (strap serial, account email, raw export).

For this I had a suggestion, could we perhaps set up Crowdin or host our own instance of something like Weblate (which i don't mind doing personally) that lets the community contribute to translations for various languages people may be using?

Thanks for the detailed screenshots — they made this easy to trace. The good news is the German catalog is essentially complete (3092/3093 strings translated); the bad news is the parts you're seeing are English for two different reasons, and only one is a pure translation job.

Cause A — catalog drift (Test Centre, coupled view, the "Wecker" section, the HRV-overnight explainer)

These are normal Text("…") strings that were simply never extracted into the string catalog, so they fall back to their English source. Your alarm screenshot is the giveaway: some alarm strings are German ("Alarme", the long reminder text) while newer ones aren't — classic drift. Fixing this is mechanical: re-run Xcode's string extraction to surface every missing key, then translate them. It needs a macOS build to enumerate the full set (it can't be done from a Linux checkout), and ideally covers all 8 shipped languages, not just German.

Cause B — localization bypass (the journal questions)

This one isn't a missing translation — it's structural. The built-in journal questions live as plain [String] data (JournalCatalog.starterQuestions) and are rendered via Text(question) where question is a String variable. SwiftUI only auto-localizes string literals; a String variable is shown verbatim and can never localize, catalog or not. So the fix is a code change (route the built-in starters through LocalizedStringKey / String(localized:)), and it comes with a product decision: your custom questions and imported WHOOP questions are free-text you typed — those stay as-is; only the built-in starters get translated.

Progress so far

#370 does the first clean slice — the five coupled view strings from your screenshot are now German. That's the template; the Test Centre / alarm / HRV-explainer sets follow the same pattern once the macOS extraction pass enumerates them.

So the plan is: (1) re-extract + translate the drifted UI strings (the bulk of what you see), (2) a separate code change to localize the built-in journal starters, (3) an audit of Android for the same gaps. Realistically a maintenance pass, not a one-liner — but it's fully tractable and #370 starts it.
