Scheduled tasks (scheduler v1)
Chibi can now schedule its own future work. Ask it to set a reminder, run a command later, or wake itself up to check on something — it creates a scheduled task and delivers the result on time.
- Three action types:
self(the agent wakes up and handles the result, telling you only if needed),notify(a direct message to you),command(a shell command runs on schedule, then the agent wakes with the output and reports humanly if warranted) - Agent tools:
schedule_task,list_scheduled_tasks,delete_scheduled_task— available in Telegram and IDE/TUI (stdio) sessions - Durable: jobs persist across restarts (Redis or SQLite jobstore); one-time tasks are never dropped, recurring ones catch up within a configurable grace window
- Interval stop conditions:
stop_at(end date) andmax_fires(auto-removal after N runs), shown in listings - Failure notifications with anti-flood; orphaned jobs are recovered on startup
Windows support
Terminal command execution and scheduled commands now work on Windows (proper process-group spawn and kill via the shared process helper).
