Sol Desktop v0.3.3

Choose a tag to compare

@s0luZ s0luZ released this 13 Oct 18:21

Notch, dock, and tray updates.

  • The top notch morphs into Control Centre instead of stacking two bars
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sound, Ethernet, and battery on the notch open their own popups
  • Tray overflow lives on the notch (live Windows notify icons only); right-click to quit
  • Dock folders with a centered Sol explorer
  • Pressing Win raises the dock so Start no longer leaves a gap at the bottom

Download SolDesktop.exe and double-click. No .NET install needed. Windows SmartScreen may warn because the app is unsigned — More info, then Run anyway.

@s0luZ s0luZ released this 13 Oct 16:09

A notch, Control Centre, and dock for Windows 10 and 11.

Install

  1. Download SolDesktop.exe below.
  2. Double-click it.

No .NET install needed. 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 only.

Windows SmartScreen may warn because the app is not code-signed. Choose More info → Run anyway.

First launch

Settings opens the first time. The notch is at the top of the screen, the dock at the bottom. Right-click either (or the sun tray icon) for options. Turn on Start with Windows in General if you want it at sign-in.

Quit from the tray or from Settings so the Windows taskbar comes back.

In this version

  • Live notch (time, network, Bluetooth, volume, battery)
  • Pull-down Control Centre (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, sound, brightness)
  • Dock with window previews, pin, and magnification
  • Dark and Glass themes
  • Start menu centred while the dock is on
