v1.5.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 15:11
  • Add automatic single-column calendar layouts for large, near-square cards, with
explicit on and off options in the visual editor.
  • Add a per-card block list to calendar and reminders widgets. Hide titles containing
comma-separated words or phrases, ignoring case; hidden items do not affect counts.
  • Keep ongoing meetings visible on an otherwise empty anchor day until they end.
  • Refine calendar date headings and reminder circle alignment and outlines.
  • Add the project icon and fix README image URLs for HACS.

Requires Home Assistant 2026.7 or newer, as 1.0.0 did.

Scale

Every card now takes a scale option — 80 to 130 per cent, and a slider in the visual
editor rather than something to write by hand. One factor over the whole widget: type,
rows, spacing and insets together, so the card at 120% is the card at 100% seen from closer
up rather than a differently proportioned one.

It is spent out of the row budget, which is the trade worth knowing about. The footprint
that holds 4 rows under the date and 7 in the second column at 100% holds 2 and 5 at 130%,
and 6 and 9 at 80% — so a card scaled up wants dragging taller, and a card scaled down
fills the height it already has with more of the day.

The calendar

  • A day whose events have all finished now says No More Events Today, where a day that
never had any still says No Events Today. The two are not the same day and no longer
    read as one.
  • 2 more events counts the day it sits in rather than the whole loaded fortnight, and it
buys its row cheapest-first: a location line gives way before an event does, and it will
not buy its own section's last visible row — a section with nothing on screen goes in
    silence, heading and all.
  • A column with no room for an event at all now stays quiet instead of standing a bare
    count in it.

Size

A card can be dragged down to 3 rows and actually be three rows tall. It could always
be dragged there — it went on drawing four rows' worth of ha-card and hanging the
difference over the card below it.

Docs

The README leads with the cards, the install and the options; the contributor material —
the two development loops, the screenshot harness, the source tree — moved into
docs/development.md.
