🛠️ Key Highlights & New Features

  1. 🏷️ Automatic Area & Label Assignment
  • Automatically organize devices and entities in Home Assistant by property using newly integrated registry helpers.
  • Registry Helpers (helpers.py): Added async_ensure_area, async_ensure_label, and async_assign_entity_area_label to perform slugification, lookup/creation, and automatic entity assignment.
  • Connection Lifecycle (connection.py): During async_connect, the integration creates an Area and Label named after the property (when enabled) and persists area_id and label_id directly in entry options.
  • Config & Options UI: Added user toggles (create_area, create_label) to enable or disable automatic property-level grouping.
  1. 🔑 Rental Calendar Helpers (Check-in / Check-out Presets)
    Streamline turnover workflows by triggering preset scenes and scripts directly from calendar events.
  • New Services:
    • property_bridge.apply_checkin_preset: Executes pre-configured check-in scenes and/or scripts.
    • property_bridge.apply_checkout_preset: Executes turnover scripts/scenes for guest check-outs.
  • Flexible Configuration: Added Options Flow selector fields for checkin_script, checkout_script, checkin_scene, and checkout_scene.
  • Documentation & Examples: Fully documented in services.yaml and translation strings, complete with an example calendar-triggered turnover automation in the README.md.
  1. 🛠️ Multi-Tenant Maintenance Windows & Consent Engine
    Manage property access cleanly with explicit tenant consent and auto-expiring maintenance permissions.
  • State Tracking (BridgeConnection): Tracks maintenance_allowed_until, consent_granted, and maintenance_requested states across connection loops.
  • Consent & Window Services:
    • property_bridge.grant_maintenance_consent: Grants access permission from the tenant side.
    • property_bridge.request_maintenance_window: Requests access for a custom duration (in hours), validating against consent rules.
    • property_bridge.end_maintenance_window: Immediately revokes maintenance status and locks down access.
  • New Entities:
    • Binary Sensors: Maintenance Allowed, Maintenance Consent.
    • Sensor: Maintenance Until (timestamp tracking auto-expiry).
  • Automated Expiry & Persistence: Background loop handles real-time window expiration while storing active states in entry options.
  • Configurable Parameters: Added options to enable/disable the maintenance subsystem, enforce mandatory consent, and set default window durations.

📥 Installation & Upgrade

Via HACS

  1. Open HACS in your Home Assistant sidebar.
  2. Locate Property Bridge, click the options menu (...), and select Redownload.
  3. Select version v1.6.0 and click Download.
  4. Restart Home Assistant (Settings > System > Restart).

Manual Installation

  1. Download property_bridge_v1.6.0.zip from the release assets below.
  2. Extract and replace files in /config/custom_components/property_bridge/.
  3. Restart Home Assistant (Settings > System > Restart).
