A folder can be opened, from Open Folder, the command line or by dropping it on the window, and its Markdown files and those in the folders below it are listed in a sidebar that F9 shows and hides. Files picked there open as tabs of that window, which stays open on its folder when its last tab closes. Hidden folders, node_modules and target are passed over.

The sidebar can be searched by file name, follows files as they are added, removed and renamed, and gives each file a menu to open it in a new window, copy its path or show it in the file manager. Open Recent lists recent folders above recent files.

Blink 0.7.0

The preview renders more of GitHub's Markdown. The boxes of task lists can be ticked, changing the source as typing would, and Ctrl+Z in the preview takes it back. Emoji shortcodes show as emoji, footnotes and their references link to each other, alerts are titled and coloured as on GitHub, and a details element opens and closes when its summary is clicked.

Math written between dollar signs is typeset in the preview, in table cells, and in both exports, and letters that KaTeX's fonts lack, such as Cyrillic, are drawn in a font of the system. Raw HTML keeps its text styles, the widths of its images and the alignment of its paragraphs and divisions, so a README header centred with a div shows centred.

Quotes are rounded boxes in the preview, the PDF and the HTML export alike. Text in table cells and code blocks is copied with Ctrl+C or from their right-click menu. The PDF keeps the words of wide tables whole, breaks Chinese and Japanese text in tables between characters, and keeps code blocks and headings together with what follows across pages. Emoji that no installed font has show as their shortcodes.
