Games that share a prefix no longer take each other down: stopping one, the one started first included, ends that game alone, and a game closed from inside while others run in its prefix stops counting as running at once, where it went on as running, playtime and all, until the last of them closed. A game that cannot run next to the ones already in its prefix is refused with the reason: one with another Proton, which waited unseen for them to close, or one whose folder the first game's sandbox does not have, which never started.

A program run in a prefix keeps the prefix in use when the daemon restarts, and a dependency install a daemon left behind is stopped. A game that ends with an error is recorded as such rather than as completed, and a prefix's process namespace no longer stays behind once nothing runs in it.

umu-launcher keeps the Steam Linux Runtime it downloads: an update to it was fetched again on every launch, as the sandbox held the runtime's folder where umu could not replace it, and a first download went with the sandbox when umu's folders did not exist yet. A umu-launcher that Leyen installed is brought to the release this version pins instead of being kept as it is, without holding launches back while the new one downloads.

A game started while another one runs in its prefix on the same Proton starts at once, where it waited for the first to close. Reset umu Runtime in the preferences deletes every Steam Linux Runtime umu keeps, steamrt4 as well as steamrt3.

A game can no longer reach outside its sandbox through the folder that stands in for its cache: it could swap that folder for a link to your home directory and be handed all of it on its next launch. That folder is read-only inside the sandbox now, and a prefix that is your home directory, or holds it, is refused like any other folder that would undo the sandbox.

The daemon stays on the session bus when a game prints a NUL byte, and exits if it loses the bus rather than running on beside a second one. A game whose deletion the daemon refuses keeps its icon and menu entry, a game launched again right after it ends keeps its output in the log, and a settings file that cannot be read is reported in the log instead of being replaced by the defaults in silence. The window does less work on its own thread, frees a dialog with a shared folder when it closes and redraws Running Games from the daemon's updates, and leyen list piped into head ends quietly.

Every game runs in a sandbox now, and so does everything else that runs Windows code: the Wine configuration, the registry editor, a program run by hand and a dependency install. A program reaches its Wine prefix, the game folder named in its settings and the folders shared with it, and nothing else of your files; where the sandbox cannot be built, the launch is refused instead of running unconfined. Two settings come with it, at the preferences, the group and the game: extra folders to share, each read-only unless switched writable, and network access.

Because the game folder is the one folder of yours a game sees, it is required and set by hand, so games in a library from an earlier version need it filled in before they launch again. GameMode is gone, switch and setting: it cannot work from inside the sandbox, and keeping a game outside it would let the game signal every program you run. bubblewrap and unprivileged user namespaces are requirements from here on.

Games that share a prefix still share one wineserver, so three windows of one game keep each other's registry writes. The Proton log is written into the prefix, where it can be read after the game exits. The interface is translated into Russian. On NixOS the sandbox builds and the prefix's process namespace starts.

A dependency installed into a prefix that does not exist yet no longer counts the whole Wine installation as its own files, so removing it, or a failed install, leaves the prefix alone. Removing a component keeps the DLL overrides another installed component set too, and removes the overrides winetricks set, which were left behind. Reinstalling a winetricks component works again, the first install waits for winetricks to finish downloading, and the dependency manager waits for installs that take longer than five minutes, such as .NET.

A failed download says why, and a failed installer ends its message with the last lines of its output instead of all of it. A font installed again after All Fonts keeps All Fonts from being removed before it. A group title with an ampersand shows in the game dialog, and a menu entry is written only for a game ID Leyen gave.
