The console shows the screen Looking Glass shares from a passed-through graphics card, read straight from the kvmfr device, so the Looking Glass client no longer has to be installed to turn Looking Glass on. Scroll Lock does what it does in the client: a tap holds the pointer for the guest, for games, and held down it lists the keys that go with it, to go fullscreen, turn the screen, change the pointer's speed and send volume keys. A screenshot saves the screen Looking Glass shows, and the console says why it shows none, such as a host application of another version or a kvmfr device too small for the guest's screen.

A machine no longer records from this computer's microphone unless the Microphone switch in its display settings allows it. The guest's sound now plays over SPICE.

Adding a USB device of this computer gives the machine's USB controller all its ports, as a USB 2 device behind the hub libvirt added otherwise kept the machine from starting. F11 works in the console's own window, and fullscreen goes straight to the display without reconnecting it. A screen shown scaled no longer leaves traces around what changed.

The details have a Passthrough group for Looking Glass, the memory balloon, hiding the hypervisor from the guest, and the host's keyboard and mouse. Looking Glass gets the SPICE listener and screen it needs, and is turned on only where its client is installed. Advanced settings reach from the machine type and power actions to disk and network card tuning, and the scripts libvirt runs as a machine starts and stops can be edited, saved through an administrator's password. The definition opens in a resizable editor with XML highlighting, line numbers, and find and replace. A stopped machine opens on its details and shows its screen once it starts, and a machine that cannot start for want of huge pages says how many are missing.

A disk or network card whose settings change at the next start is marked as such, and a setting libvirt refuses shows as it was. Settings QEMU cannot have, such as the host's system information on the user's own connection, are no longer offered.

The window no longer waits on libvirt as a connection or serial console closes, as a screenshot is saved, or as the details look at the host's devices and scripts. Usage graphs no longer take a sample from the machine shown before, and the New Virtual Machine and Add Storage dialogs free their memory once closed.

A click in the console gives the virtual machine the shortcuts the desktop would otherwise take, such as Super and Alt+Tab, until Ctrl+Alt releases the keyboard, which the console says as it takes them. Fullscreen has a button in the main window too, and in fullscreen the machine's controls, with the keys to send, come down from the top edge of the screen: for a moment as fullscreen starts, while the pointer is at the edge, and at a tap there on a touch screen. The serial console says so while nothing has arrived from the guest.

A libvirt daemon that stops answering now shows as a lost connection instead of leaving the window waiting. SPICE is offered only where QEMU has its SPICE modules, and a machine that cannot start without them says what to install. The console redraws only what changed of the guest's screen, and screen readers know it by the machine's name.

New virtual machines boot with the firmware chosen for them: BIOS, UEFI, or UEFI with Secure Boot, which is the default where the host's firmware has it, as Windows 11 requires. Their disk goes in the storage pool chosen for it, which shows its free space, and their processors are cores of one socket, so that Windows uses all of them.

The serial console is offered only to machines with a serial port, which is added and removed with the other devices. The sidebar selects a machine on a click, no longer as the pointer passes over it. Fullscreen works from any page, with F11 too, and going back to the list leaves it. The user session explains why it has no virtual networks instead of failing to make one, and a keyboard shortcuts dialog lists what the keyboard does.
