Development continues in Wirebot. This release automatically migrates existing Telex 0.0.34 instances when the updated service starts.
- Preserves Codex login, conversations, chat-to-thread mappings, memory, schedules, settings, and workspace files in a migrated copy. Original Telex data remains as a pre-migration backup.
- Installs or starts Docker and runs Wirebot with the existing Telegram bot and HTTP address.
- Retires the Telex service and installs a scheduled shell check for image updates. No updater process remains between checks; update transactions retain readiness checks, data snapshots, and rollback.
- Sends each allowlisted Telegram user a short announcement after the migrated instance is ready.
Linux installation needs root or passwordless sudo if Docker must be installed. On macOS, Homebrew or Docker Desktop must already be available. Failed preparation or initial startup leaves native Telex running. To defer migration, set TELEX_MIGRATION=off before migration starts.
Keep Node and the installed migration release: the scheduled script uses them briefly for image replacements and recovery. New installations should use Wirebot directly.
See the migration and recovery guide.
