DiffMind 0.2.0 improves PR impact accuracy, readable flow review, and version-aware analysis across the UI and agent APIs.

Highlights

  • Entrypoint flow review: explore a service's flows and review affected flows side by side before and after a PR. Unchanged flows stay out of PR diffs. HTTP endpoints, event consumers, database operations, and external dependencies retain source evidence.
  • More accurate PR evidence: compare exact source revisions, preserve local checkout changes, and distinguish unavailable provider results from empty results. Java callback receiver resolution and deterministic extraction fix false flow changes in configuration-only PRs.
  • Version-aware detectors: dependency inventories record framework and library versions. Detector coverage distinguishes fixture-validated versions, unresolved versions, and versions outside supported ranges. Custom framework/convention rules use the same version policy.
  • Clearer UI: improved graph layout, flow diagrams, loading feedback, responsive inspection, and accessibility fixes.
  • Consistent agent workflows: shared readiness, freshness, scope, and access behavior across the UI and MCP, with improvements to onboarding, background operation, and recovery.
  • Dependency and security updates: updated Go/frontend/container dependencies and release actions; patched source-map-js to 1.2.2 so frontend audits pass without weakening their thresholds.

Installation

Download the archive matching your platform from the assets below, or use the binary installer. Set DIFFMIND_VERSION=0.2.0 to pin this release.

Assets include native Linux and macOS archives for AMD64 and ARM64, latest-name aliases, checksums.txt, and a generated pinned Homebrew formula (diffmind.rb). Native binaries require Git but do not require Go, Node, or a compiler to run.

Compatibility and limits

Backup format 1 remains supported. Backups record the producing application version; restore preserves saved application data rather than transforming its schema. Before upgrading an existing workspace, follow the backup and recovery guide. Path relocation and general application-schema migration remain unsupported; SQLite queue migration is a separate supported operation.

Extraction and PR impact are bounded static source evidence, not proof of runtime execution or complete support for every framework version. See the tested support matrix. Linux native archives depend on the build runner's libc requirements; they are not universal static binaries. Windows packages are not provided.

Verification

The release workflow checks frontend reproducibility, builds/tests/audits, Go tests and race checks, vulnerability scans, and installer behavior. Each of the four native archives passes installed CLI, UI/MCP, company-fixture, agent, and backup/storage acceptance gates before publication.

After publication, all eight archive checksums and the formula checksum were independently verified. The downloaded macOS ARM64 package passed installer/doctor, embedded UI, graph/MCP, SQLite, and managed-recovery checks. The public versioned container image passed version, health, authentication, and served UI-asset checks. All tag workflows completed successfully.

Changes since 0.1.0: PR #10, PR #11, PR #12, and PR #13, including dependency updates consolidated into #13.
