Block Alphanumeric Senders 1.0.0
Block Alphanumeric Senders 1.0.0
The first public release of Block Alphanumeric Senders.
Apple's blocking interface supports phone numbers and contacts, but it does
not let users block alphabetic or alphanumeric SMS sender IDs such as
COMPANY, DELIVERY123, or CITY INFO. This tweak adds that missing
functionality to the Settings app on jailbroken iPhones.
Highlights
- View blocked alphanumeric senders from Settings.
- Block a new sender by entering its name exactly as shown in Messages.
- Place newly blocked senders at the top of the list.
- Swipe left to unblock an existing sender.
- Apply changes immediately through Apple's CommunicationsFilter service.
- Preserve existing blocked phone numbers and unrelated block-list data.
- Display a user-controlled Respring button in Sileo after installation.
Compatibility
- iOS 16
- Dopamine 2 rootless
- arm64 and arm64e
- PreferenceLoader
Installation
Download com.sahinkaa.blockalphanumericsenders_1.0.0_iphoneos-arm64.deb,
open it in Sileo, install it, and tap Respring when prompted. The preference
pane will appear at Settings → Block Alphanumeric Senders.
Verification
Compare the downloaded .deb against the SHA-256 value in SHA256SUMS.txt
before installation.
Notes
Changes normally take effect immediately. If iOS does not recognize a
particular sender change, reboot the device once.
