TaskOrbit v0.2.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 14:04

TaskOrbit 0.2.2 — cleaner mobile workspace

  • Added a fixed bottom navigation for Overview, Work items, Team and More, with safe-area spacing and accessible page selection.
  • Mobile boards display one full-width status column at a time. Status tabs expose counts, support keyboard arrows in both reading directions and follow the selected status filter. Desktop boards retain all columns.
  • Search, view controls and actions now fit small screens. Filters expand into a two-column grid, with a visible active-filter count.
  • Work-item lists and Team tables become readable cards on mobile. Dialogs use full-width bottom sheets, scrollable content and larger inputs to avoid iOS input zoom.
  • Mobile navigation locks background scrolling, manages focus, supports Escape and closes when opening a form. Closed navigation is excluded from keyboard focus.
  • Light/Dark glass surfaces and Persian/Arabic direction remain available. Added browser checks at 320, 390 and 430 pixels for overflow, touch targets, status/filter behavior, forms and navigation focus.
  • No database schema change since 0.2.1. All local API and browser checks use disposable databases.

Included from 0.2.1

  • Workspace administrators can create a user directly from Team, setting name, email, password and workspace role. Login and membership save in one transaction. New accounts remain ordinary instance users; existing emails are not overwritten. Share initial passwords privately; this flow does not send invitation emails.
  • Account creation requires a signed-in session and workspace management permission. Members, viewers, unrelated users and API/MCP tokens cannot create account credentials.
  • Persian and Arabic Radix selectors use RTL direction, logical padding and selection indicators. Filter text follows the locale reading direction.
  • Added explicit Light/Dark choices in Appearance, persistent device preferences and system preference on first use.
  • Added glass navigation, cards, dialogs and menus in both themes, with subtle warm ambient light, readable foregrounds and an opaque fallback for unsupported blur.
  • Made the horizontally scrolling MCP configuration keyboard accessible on mobile Safari.
  • No database schema change since 0.2.0. API and browser verification use disposable databases; see the verification guide for the recorded checks.

Included from 0.2.0

  • Added global search across accessible tasks, projects, sprints and pages, with Ctrl / ⌘ K, arrow-key navigation and direct result navigation.
  • Added an inbox for assignments, discussions, completions and approaching/overdue deadlines. Notifications respect membership and ownership, retain read state and avoid duplicate deadline reminders.
  • Added daily, weekly and monthly task recurrence. Completing an occurrence creates its successor once, with calendar-safe dates and a fresh sprint/parent assignment.
  • Added atomic bulk editing for up to 100 visible items. Stale versions cancel the complete change, preventing partial saves and duplicate recurrence.
  • Added four-language Product delivery, Campaign launch and Team operations starter templates.
  • Added JSON project export/import and generic CSV task import, with file/destination preview, validation, remapped references and all-or-nothing rollback. Discussions, files, links and saved views are excluded; this is not a complete backup.
  • Added sprint point capacity, scope/completion/remaining-work summaries, team workload and recorded daily history. History begins with this version and only records observed days; no past data is invented. Current reports are not time tracking or velocity forecasting.
  • Added optional SMTP password recovery. Single-use hashed reset links expire after 30 minutes; successful resets revoke sessions and API/MCP tokens. Without configured mail, the UI explains how to contact an administrator. External mail delivery is not configured or verified by default.
  • Improved Persian/Arabic dialog alignment, mobile controls, card boundaries, search/inbox visibility and actionable empty states. Added transparent Mercury artwork and optimized WebP delivery.
  • The existing MCP tools accept recurrence, project-template/locale and sprint-capacity fields. Existing authenticated live collaboration continues to update the new workflows.
  • Updated a development dependency to eliminate the audit-reported shell-quote vulnerability.

Upgrade

Back up your complete data volume, upgrade the server, then reload open web/PWA clients. Schema version 3 is additive and retains existing accounts, sessions, tasks and references. SMTP recovery requires private server configuration; see the recovery guide. See the workflow guide for import limits and recurrence/history behavior.

The release pipeline packages Windows x64, macOS Intel/Apple Silicon, Linux x64 DEB/AppImage, Android arm64 and the web/server archive. It also builds Linux amd64/arm64 server images at ghcr.io/sajadjanat/taskorbit:v0.2.2; stable advances only after all required publication checks pass. Desktop updater packages, signatures, latest.json, MCP bridge and checksums accompany a successful release.

Verification limits

Local API/MCP/upgrade/workflow tests use temporary databases. Browser checks cover desktop Chromium and iPhone WebKit emulation, keyboard navigation, import/export, recurrence, bulk edits, reports, RTL and accessibility. Emulation does not establish physical-device installation. Release CI separately gates publication on Docker upgrade/rollback, native builds, Windows navigation, persistent Android signing and updater signatures.

Physical Mac/Linux/Android installation and iPhone PWA installation remain unverified. Windows/macOS OS code signing and macOS notarization are not configured; signed updater packages and the persistent Android APK signing key are configured in release CI. Editing requires connectivity. Private work data is not cached by the service worker. This release does not deploy or upgrade any existing production instance automatically. See verification for recorded evidence.

TaskOrbit v0.1.10

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 06 Oct 15:01

TaskOrbit 0.1.10 — live collaboration and AI agent connections

  • Clients reopen their remembered self-hosted server automatically. Connection settings remain reachable without being redirected back into the workspace.

  • Fixed the Windows blank screen from Connection → Server connection and updates…: the menu now uses the actual loaded local page instead of the initial about:blank address.

  • Added a localized Back to workspace action. Server settings and signed updates retain local-only native permissions; remote servers receive no native updater access.

  • Authenticated live events synchronize tasks, projects, sprints, modules, pages, saved views, comments, attachments, links and membership changes across connected web and native clients.

  • Events respect current workspace access. Logout, session revocation and account deactivation close existing streams. Reconnection refreshes changes missed while offline.

  • Related data is refreshed without reloading the page or replacing unsaved editor/comment drafts. Concurrent task and page saves retain optimistic conflict protection.

  • No additional server service or container is required for live collaboration.

  • Valid signed-in sessions receive independent API request quotas, so clients behind the same network do not block each other's synchronization. Invalid cookies retain the anonymous IP quota; rate-limit errors use the API JSON format. Temporarily failed refreshes retry without discarding pending changes.

  • Removing a linked module refreshes the task reference too, so subsequent edits do not submit a deleted module identifier.

  • Added personal expiring MCP/API tokens, shown once and stored as hashes, with read/write/admin permissions, immediate revocation and current workspace-role enforcement.

  • MCP supports authenticated stateless Streamable HTTP and a versioned local stdio bridge. The full administrator catalog contains 48 tools; read-only/non-admin tokens expose fewer. Settings include clear four-language activation steps and generated Codex, Cursor, Claude Code and stdio configurations.

  • Added the taskorbit-mcp-0.1.10.tgz release asset and four-language setup/troubleshooting guides. Both transports are tested against the official SDK; OAuth-only connectors are not supported in this release.

Upgrade

If your existing desktop client opens a blank connection screen, close it and install the new installer over the current installation. The remembered server and normal server data are retained. Fixed clients can use the signed in-app updater normally. The administrator must upgrade the self-hosted server to enable live collaboration, then reload open web clients.

Windows x64 installer; macOS Intel and Apple Silicon DMGs; Linux x64 DEB/AppImage; Android arm64 APK; web/server archive. Desktop updater packages, signatures, latest.json and SHA256SUMS accompany them. Server image: ghcr.io/sajadjanat/taskorbit:v0.1.10 and :stable, Linux amd64/arm64. See the update guide.

Verification limits

Windows startup and the actual native menu/return path are exercised with WebView2, separately from browser IPC stubs. API and two-context browser tests cover live updates, drafts, reconnect and access revocation. Release CI verifies desktop packages, APK signing, updater signatures and Docker upgrade/rollback fixtures before publication. Physical Mac/Linux/Android installation and iPhone PWA installation remain unverified. Windows/macOS OS code signing and macOS notarization are not configured; signed updater packages and the persistent Android APK signing key are configured. Editing requires connectivity. Private work data is not cached by the service worker. See verification and the roadmap.

TaskOrbit v0.1.2 (preview)

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 05 Oct 14:06

TaskOrbit 0.1.2 — Mercury preview

The approved sunlit Mercury wordmark is used throughout the app and documentation. Light stone and dark charcoal surfaces with solar-gold accents replace the earlier blue theme. Updated native/PWA icons, mobile sign-in branding, Android adaptive-icon background and browser theme colors complete the identity.

The primary README is English-only, with separate linked Persian, Arabic and Simplified Chinese READMEs. Application UI languages remain Persian and English.

Downloads and hosting

  • Windows x64 NSIS installer.
  • macOS Intel and Apple Silicon DMG.
  • Linux x64 DEB and AppImage.
  • Android arm64 APK signed with the persistent project release key.
  • Web/server source and build archive; public Docker image ghcr.io/sajadjanat/taskorbit:v0.1.2 for Linux amd64 and arm64.
  • iPhone/iPad: open your own HTTPS server in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen to install the PWA.

Native clients ask for your self-hosted HTTPS server root URL. Hosting uses one application container and a persistent SQLite volume; optional Caddy HTTPS adds a second container. Use compose.image.yaml to run the published image. Back up the volume before upgrading; keep it to retain accounts, tasks and attachments.

Verification and limits

The release workflow runs API tests, TypeScript/build, Chromium and iPhone-size WebKit workflows with light/dark accessibility scans, desktop Rust tests and APK signature verification. Publication waits for all platform build jobs to succeed. CI history and remaining checks are documented in verification.

This remains an early preview, with core projects/sprints/tasks/team administration with additional workflows on the roadmap. Installer builds do not establish physical-device installation or native server-connection verification. Windows/macOS builds are unsigned; macOS is not notarized. Android is distributed as an APK, without a Play Store listing. iPhone uses PWA, without an App Store binary. Editing requires connectivity; private work data is not cached by the service worker. No production server deployment is implied by the release. See roadmap.

TaskOrbit v0.1.1 (preview)

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 05 Oct 13:16

TaskOrbit 0.1.1 preview

First self-hosted preview: projects, sprints, tasks, subtasks, Kanban/list/due-date timeline, modules, text documents, saved views, comments, files, relations, activity and team roles. Persian/English UI with RTL, light/dark themes and local fonts. One application container and SQLite volume, with optional Caddy HTTPS.

Native clients open a configurable connection screen and connect to your own HTTPS server. Packaging targets: Windows x64 NSIS, macOS Intel/Apple Silicon DMG, Linux x64 DEB/AppImage and signed Android arm64 APK. The web server source/build archive and GHCR amd64/arm64 image are also built. iPhone/iPad installation is via the self-hosted PWA, not an iOS App Store binary.

This is a preview, not all planned workflows. Installer build success is not physical-device testing. Windows/macOS builds are unsigned and macOS is not notarized. Online connectivity is required for work data. See docs/ROADMAP.md for limitations and remaining scope. No production deployment is implied by publishing this release.

Validation: 22 API tests, TypeScript/build, Chromium and iPhone-size WebKit workflows, desktop Rust tests, Docker container health smoke and Android APK signature verification passed. Desktop/server/image build: https://github.com/sajadjanat/taskorbit/actions/runs/37313292330. Android recovery build: https://github.com/sajadjanat/taskorbit/actions/runs/37314638147. The original Android job failed at SDK setup; the recovery workflow builds the same tag with corrected packaging setup. Full evidence and remaining device checks: https://github.com/sajadjanat/taskorbit/blob/main/docs/VERIFICATION.md.

Building Android from the source tag requires npm pkg set scripts.tauri=tauri before the Tauri Android build. The main branch includes this fix. The server image is public at ghcr.io/sajadjanat/taskorbit:v0.1.1 for Linux amd64/arm64; the main branch includes compose.image.yaml for using it.
