I have a pixel and randomly I will see under modes that something called essential focus gets enabled and my notifications don't come through. I don't know what setting has enabled it or even that if I have enabled anything like this. I tried searching in the app to no avail. I looked through the source code and saw it mentioned once, but I am still confused. I am not sure what I am doing wrong or maybe I am being stupid, I don't know. |

I think you might have created a custom mode. Check if you have a device effect automation created and try removing it or disabling it. That should disable it. Or,
If you use that feature (to grayscale the screen or so) also add an exit automation with this toggle turned off to turn off the mode. It's how Android modes work as we can keep the mode enabled while no features of the mode active.
