[Known issue - Oppo]: Button Remap: Media Volume works only in Essentials app

Bug Description

When selected Toggle Media Volume, function works but only within Essentials app. Outside app phone vibrates as a response to action but nothing happen.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Enable button Remap
2. Grant required permission (with Shizuku as well)
3. Map up and/or down/up action to Toggle Media Volume
4. Pressing mapped button within app produce assigned action and vibrates phone.
5. Go back to main screen
6. Try assigned button - phone vibrates but nothin else happens.
7. Try in other apps - same result.

Note: assigning flash light (or other actions works well).

Note2: different 'helper app' can produce expected results but it's not as convenient as Essentials.

Expected Behavior

I'm expecting to be able to Toggle Media Volume on/off within system and other apps than Essentials.

I'm struggling to replicate this on my device which is a Pixel so this might be related to how Oppo handles media audio. Does your device treat individual audio streams separately?

Yes, you might be right. I've tested on flagship Samsung and it's working as designed. I'll attach clip with how it behaves on Oppo ColorOS 16.

Can you check if that is caused without shizuku as well? (I think it might as this is probably related to how this OEM handles app sounds.)

Hi, yeah - checked with and without Shizuku. Same results. It might be Oppo/OnePlus "feature".

But again, for some reason Button Mapper (other app) works.

Ohhh I see, I'll still try it out and see :)

I can confirm, that your system works perfectly with Galaxy S series, but Oppo phones are... special I guess. Nevertheless this playstore app works same on both phones.

If you need me to do some testing - let me know.

Edit: I suspect all Oppo devices as well OnePlus and RealMe. Do not know if Vivo will have same 'issue'.
