A stability and visual quality update addressing unexpected exits, high-DPI icon rendering, and backdrop rendering on multi-GPU systems.

Stability & Reliability

  • Resolved Unexpected Exits: Fixed an issue where the background process could terminate unexpectedly on certain Windows configurations during Start/Search event polling.
  • Optimized Runtime Defaults: Restored standard .NET garbage collection and heap compaction routines, ensuring consistent stability across prolonged sessions.
  • Diagnostic Logging: Enhanced diagnostic capture under Settings › About › Report a problem to log crash traces safely without recording user data.

Visual & Display Enhancements

  • High-DPI Icon Rendering: Replaced fixed 96 px application icons with dynamic 128 px, 192 px, and 256 px asset selection based on monitor DPI scaling (250%+), eliminating blurriness when using large icons or magnification.
  • Transparent Backdrop Option: Added a dedicated Transparent option under Settings › Appearance › Backdrop. Shows the clean wallpaper behind the dock without depending on Acrylic or Blur effects that render black on certain multi-GPU laptop drivers.

Enhancements & Fixes

  • Added complete Turkish, German, and Spanish translations for the new backdrop settings.
  • Expanded automated test coverage with 12 additional unit tests (370 total).
