Added

  • Setup modes — kit setup --mode <name> / [setup].mode. Named presets over kit's setup knobs (install / login / secrets / hooks / recommended hardening / network posture / read-only): full (everything, ≡ prior behavior), local, airgap (forces the air-gapped posture, cloud scanners dropped), ci, agent (for gastown/ruflo-style runners), review (read-only audit of an untrusted repo — zero writes/installs/logins), minimal. The mode gates which setup steps run and forces the [air_gap] posture; unknown names warn and fall back to full. Agent-agnostic — modes mean the same thing under any harness.
  • kit statusline — agent-agnostic info-bar emitter. One compact, fast, read-only line — setup score for the active mode + an "update available" mark + the open PAL ("blocked on you") count, e.g. kit:full 6/6 · ⬆1.34.0 · ⚠2. Cached-only (never blocks/fetches); wire it into Claude Code's statusLine, a shell PS1, or any harness's bar. kit agent-config now also tells the agent to run it at session start, so harnesses without a native bar still surface it.
  • kit status is mode-aware — adds a mode <name>: M/N subsystems — next: … line scoring progress against the active mode's expected subsystems.
