What's new

• Fixed a cause of Mirror Stream freezes after network congestion by preserving H.264 frame dependencies and requesting fresh keyframes.
• The Mac decoder recovers after missing frames or decoder errors.
• Keepalives help idle screen-sharing sessions stay connected.
• Encoder commands are handled on the encoder loop for safer recovery.

Update both the Android and Mac apps to version 1.1.2 for the complete fix. Performance still depends on your devices and network.

Verification

26 Android unit tests and 30 Swift unit tests passed. Targeted H.264 decoder tests passed for congestion, keyframe recovery, malformed frames and format replacement. These checks do not guarantee every device or network condition.

The APK is signed by AndroidSync, not Google. Android developer verification does not constitute Play Protect approval; Play Protect may block sideloading because of the permissions used by optional features.

For additional control, review the source and build your own APK or Mac app using the README. Protect your build tools and signing keys. Existing v1.1.1 release installations use the same signing identities.

Android Sync 1.1.1

What is new

• Full Android APK signed with the permanent AndroidSync release key.
• Universal Intel and Apple Silicon Mac app and DMG signed with Muhammad Sanaullah’s Developer ID and notarized by Apple, with validated stapled tickets.
• Step-by-step Android signing and Mac DMG notarization instructions in the README.
• Restored 22 Android and 26 Swift unit tests; all passed locally.
• Android version code and macOS build number increased to 10.

Downloads and verification

Download the APK for Android 12+, or the DMG/ZIP for macOS 14+. Source ZIP and tar.gz archives and SHA256SUMS.txt are included. The APK was built and signed locally from the release candidate using the permanent release certificate.

The Android package and signing certificate are registered through Android developer verification; Google does not sign or certify this APK. Existing debug-signed Android installations need a fresh installation; save important data before uninstalling. Mac upgrades from older ad hoc builds may need Keychain approval.

Review the source and build your own APK or Mac app for additional control. Personal builds use your own signing identity. Tests and notarization do not guarantee compatibility with every device.

Android Sync 1.1

What's new

• Binary file streaming over authenticated TLS removes Base64 expansion and per-chunk response waits.
• Optional unencrypted local TCP file transfers, authorized by per-batch tokens exchanged over TLS.
• Transfer-mode settings synchronize across paired devices and persist across restarts.
• Bounded memory, durable checkpoints approximately every 8 MiB, resume support and SHA-256 verification before publishing received files.
• Throttled progress updates and compatibility with the original transfer path for older paired versions.

Transfer privacy

Encrypted Wi-Fi remains the default. Insecure transfer exposes file bytes to anyone who can observe the local network. It is not guaranteed to be faster. Turning it off cancels active unencrypted batches; restart them to use TLS. Notifications, clipboard, pairing and transfer authorization remain on the authenticated TLS control connection.

Build verification

Both Android variants and both Mac architectures compiled from the release source snapshot. Android unit tests passed: 22 per variant. Swift tests passed: 26. Mac code signature and DMG integrity verified. These checks do not establish throughput or full device compatibility.

The APKs are local debug-signed builds. The Mac app is ad hoc signed, not Apple Developer ID signed or notarized. Read the installation and signing instructions.

Included

Notifications and supported replies, clipboard sharing, file transfers, photo browsing, optional carrier messaging and call controls, screen mirroring, and Privacy Mode. The Mac menu bar icon now renders correctly at 18 × 18 points. Call audio stays on the phone; MMS and RCS are not supported.

Signing and installation

This is a local development pre-release. The APK uses a local debug signing key. The Mac app is ad hoc signed, not Developer ID signed or notarized by Apple. Muhammad Sanaullah does not currently have a paid Apple Developer Program membership. See the README for installation and instructions to build and sign your own copy.

Built from commit 4209fe5. Android assembly, universal Mac compilation, Mac signature verification and DMG integrity verification completed. This is not full device acceptance testing.
