StepVela 0.1.0

StepVela 0.1.0 is a lightweight, offline dynamic step recorder for Windows.

Record desktop interactions, refine titles and descriptions, reorder or add steps, and crop, highlight, or redact screenshots. Save editable guides or share an offline HTML/Markdown/JSON bundle. Warm light and charcoal dark workspaces are included.

Downloads

• StepVela-Setup.msi — current-user installer with a Start Menu shortcut and repair/uninstall support.
• StepVela-Portable.zip — extract and run StepVela.exe.
• SHA256SUMS.txt — SHA-256 integrity checks for both downloads.

Requires Windows 10/11 and .NET Framework 4.8 or newer. Tested on Windows 11. The initial binaries are unsigned; source and checksums are available, but checksums are not publisher certificates.

Verification

• Synthetic state, privacy, image, export, project, and archive-handling checks passed.
• Live Notepad capture, global controls, paused-event exclusion, title/description edits, step reordering, crop, solid redaction, Undo, and project reopening checked in the running app.
• Final MSI fresh install, repeat install, repair, and uninstall returned exit code 0. Saved guides remained intact.
• 96 KiB executable; about 52 KiB portable ZIP and 1.04 MiB MSI. One-PC measurements: about 58 MiB idle working set and 79 MiB during a four-step recording.
