F-Droid

Some apps are also published to a self-hosted F-Droid repo, separate from the AltStore sources above (F-Droid is Android-only; AltStore is iOS-only). Unlike AltStore's hand-written JSON source, the F-Droid index (index-v1.jar/index-v1.json/index-v2.json/entry.json) is generated by fdroidserver and, together with the .apk files and extracted icons, lives entirely as assets of a single fixed-tag GitHub Release — fdroid-repo — never committed to this repo's git tree. Only the small fastlane-style text metadata that feeds that index is committed, under fdroid/.

Add this source in the F-Droid app: Settings → Repositories → Add:

This URL only resolves once at least one app has published for real (each project's just dist-fdroid --push --confirm, or the CI equivalent) — see fdroid/README.md and each project's docs/FDROID.md for how that works.

Adding Apps

Drop .ipa files into clasic/.
Drop ADP folders (containing manifest.json) into pal/.
Place app screenshots in screenshots/<bundle-id>/ (for example screenshots/com.santech.simonInSpaceGame/1.png).
Keep app descriptions and changelogs in the source JSON files. When sync_sources.py runs, it extracts those fields into temporary TXT files, uses them while rebuilding the JSON files, and removes the temporary files automatically.
Run the sync script:

python3 sync_sources.py
```
This scans both directories, extracts metadata and icons from the binaries, adds screenshots to each app entry in the source JSONs, and updates the Published Apps table in this README automatically. App descriptions and changelogs are preserved from the existing source files before stale apps are removed, so they are restored when an app is regenerated. No metadata TXT files are created in the repository. The script does not rewrite the JSON examples, setup guide, disclaimer, or other documentation outside the generated table.

Use --dry-run to preview changes without writing files.
