CountAway 1.1.0

CountAway 1.1 keeps the app small and local while making its widgets more useful and its stored data safer.

New

  • Choose from nine widget backgrounds, each with automatic light and dark variants.
  • Preview widget appearance and background before saving it.
  • Use Next countdown to let a widget automatically follow the nearest upcoming event.
  • Set a local reminder for the event day, 1 day before, 3 days before, or 7 days before.
  • Export and restore countdowns with a local JSON backup file.

Improved

  • Explicit Light and Dark widget appearances render independently of the phone's system theme.
  • Corrupt or unsupported saved data is now protected from accidental overwrite.
  • Existing fixed widgets and stored countdowns continue to migrate forward automatically.
  • The app remains local-only with no accounts, ads, analytics, cloud, or Internet permission.
