CountAway can finally count both ways.
You can still count down to the things you're waiting for, but now you can also count up from a date that already happened — anniversaries, streaks, “how long has it been?” moments, or whatever else deserves a number.
A special thanks to @Seif-el-din for suggesting count-up in #29. That idea ended up becoming the main feature of this release.
What's new
- Count up: track the days since a starting date across the app, fixed widgets, sharing, and backups.
- A clearer Home: count-down and count-up events have their own groups, with more compact counts, more room for titles, and cleaner event actions.
- Better widgets: pinning is more reliable, large-text layouts behave better, and fixed widgets work with both counting directions.
- Language switching: choose English, Español, Català, or follow the system language.
Next countdown still does exactly what its name promises: it follows the nearest upcoming count-down event.
A couple of details
Count-up events don't repeat or use reminders. Existing data migrates automatically to storage schema 7.
