AI Usage v0.1.0 shows your Codex account's remaining 5-hour and weekly allowances in the macOS menu bar, with small and medium desktop widgets.
The attached app is signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and includes a stapled notarization ticket. The extracted release passed Gatekeeper verification.
Requirements
- Apple Silicon Mac (arm64), running macOS 14 or later.
- Codex CLI installed and signed in to your ChatGPT account with
codex login. - Standard Homebrew CLI locations are detected when opening the app from Finder.
Installation
- Download
AI-Usage-0.1.0-macos-arm64-widget.zipand unzip it. - Move AI Usage.app into Applications and open it.
- To add the widget, right-click the desktop, choose Edit Widgets, and search for AI Usage. Keep the menu bar app running for widget updates.
- Optionally add the app under System Settings → General → Login Items.
Rust, Xcode, and signing certificates are not required to run the app. This release includes only an Apple Silicon binary.
The .sha256 attachment contains the ZIP's SHA-256 checksum. Source builds and release instructions are in the README.
