Close button not showing on terminal tabs

Describe the bug
Hovering over the top of the terminal tabs, I cannot close them with any UI affordance

To reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to any loop
2. Hover over the tab header/status line
3. Note that no "x" button appears

Expected behavior
An "x" button appearing to close the terminal
