⚠️ This is an automatic development build, produced from the
latest commit on master. It passed the test suite and nothing
more — it has had no release review. For something more settled,
use a tagged release.

Schl8 has never had an independent security audit. Never let a
Schl8-managed file be the only copy of anything important.

Install

  1. Download Schl8-nightly-macos-universal.zip below — one file for
    both Apple Silicon and Intel.

  2. Unzip it and drag Schl8.app into /Applications.

  3. These builds are not notarized with Apple, so macOS quarantines
    them. Clear the flag once:

    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Schl8.app

  4. Install GnuPG if you don't already have it: brew install gnupg.

The .tar.gz is the bare schl8 terminal binary, for running from a
shell. Check either download against SHA256SUMS:

shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing
