verify-page: show elapsed time while waiting on the bridge#155
Merged
Conversation
A terminal gets an in-place stderr line updating every second; piped runs get a plain line every 15s. stdout stays clean for piping. Honest elapsed narration only — real per-use-site progress needs a server-side progress stream (recorded follow-up). verify-page currently sits silent for the several minutes a full-page verification takes, which reads as a hang. This adds a heartbeat line on stderr while the CLI waits on the bridge: on a TTY it updates in place every second (
verify-page: verifying "Title" via the bridge… 2m41s); piped/non-TTY output gets a plain line every 15 seconds. Report output on stdout is unaffected. This is the stopgap tier — a real progress bar needs a server-side progress stream and is deferred.
