v4.7.1
One notification per turn, and only for your own session
- The "waiting for your input" alert fires once per turn. Before, every real turn end alerted twice: once when Claude finished, and again a minute later when Claude Code's own idle reminder arrived. Now the first one posts and the second stays quiet.
- Only your own session raises it. A claude process spawned inside a tab (a pre-push code review, any
claude -p) used to fire "Claude finished" onto the tab, so a review of nine files meant nine alerts while the tab was still working. Those are recorded as flight data and never alert. The amber tab dot follows the same rule. - A permission ask always notifies, even from one of those spawned processes: a process blocked on a permission with nobody told is worse than one extra alert.
