Scriptella 1.6 adds direct SQL execution, shared environment-variable configuration, and first-class file-backed SQLite support. Java 17 remains the minimum runtime.
Highlights:
- Run a UTF-8 SQL file directly with
EtlExecutor.newSqlFileExecutor(...)or theexecute-sqllauncher command, including optional property substitution and named bindings. - Read credentials and shared configuration from the reserved
${env.*}namespace without exposing missing values in diagnostics. - Use the
sqlitealias or canonicaljdbc:sqlite:URLs for file-backed SQLite ETL workflows.
Upgrade notes:
- Vendor JDBC drivers, including Xerial SQLite JDBC, remain external dependencies.
- SQLite NUMERIC/REAL values can lose precision through SQLite and
Double; arbitrary numeric migrations are not lossless. - Scriptella 1.3 remains the Java 8 compatibility line.
