Command Center is built to keep you in control of your vault.
- secrets are stored in Obsidian's built-in Secret Storage
- provider keys persist with your vault and can be replaced or removed in settings
- no client-side telemetry is included
- local options are available when you want to keep work on your machine or network
- destructive actions require explicit approval
If you use a cloud provider or transcription service, Command Center sends only the content needed for that feature.
- Command Center does not read machine identity fields such as hostname, user info, or network interfaces.
- The plugin uses your vault's configured Obsidian config directory instead of assuming
.obsidian.
- use local providers when privacy matters most
- review prompts before sending sensitive notes
- keep credentials in the secure settings area and manage them through Obsidian Secret Storage
