  • Releases — Linux release binaries are now fully static (musl/Alpine), so they run on any distro without matching glibc/OpenSSL versions
  • Releases — macOS release binary now links OpenSSL statically; release smoke tests cover HTTPS
  • Resilience — Static OpenSSL builds ignore the host openssl.cnf by default (OPENSSL_CONF → null device) so foreign crypto-policy configs cannot abort TLS
  • Resilience — On macOS, TLS falls back to the system CA bundle (/etc/ssl/cert.pem) when the OpenSSL default cert path is missing
  • Documentation — README rewritten for CI/CD positioning; added FAQ and moved the full comparison table to docs/comparison.md
  • Packaging — Updated shard.yml description for shard registries
