Terminal Switcher v1.0.0

The debut release of Terminal Switcher — a lightweight macOS menu-bar app
that lists every open Apple Terminal window, labeled by project, and jumps to
any of them in one click.

Highlights

  • Menu-bar dropdown of all open Terminal windows, labeled by project.
  • Always-on-top floating panel for heavy switching sessions.
  • New Terminal Window and New Window in Project ▸ to open shells anywhere.
  • Start at Login toggle and manual Check for Updates.
  • No Dock icon, tiny footprint, and no network activity except a manual update check.

Install

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/searayca/terminal-switcher/main/install.sh | bash

or

brew install searayca/tap/terminal-switcher

or download Terminal-Switcher-v1.0.0-universal.zip below, unzip, move
Terminal Switcher.app to ~/Applications, then right-click → Open the
first time (the app is not notarized).

The zip contains a universal binary — Apple Silicon and Intel.

On first use, macOS will ask to allow Terminal Switcher to control Terminal —
click Allow (standard Automation permission; required).

Requirements

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later
  • Apple Terminal (iTerm and other emulators are not supported)

Terminal Switcher is free, distributed under the Coffee Right License.
