Happy Photon v0.2.5
Happy Photon is a focused, open-source photo workflow for RAW and JPEG
shoots. This is pre-1.0 software: keep backups and verify the formats and
cameras important to your work.
New in 0.2.5
- Add linear and radial masks in Develop for local Exposure, Temperature, Tint, and Saturation adjustments.
- Position masks on the image or with numeric controls, with feathering and inside/outside control for radial masks.
- Access Develop tools beneath the histogram, with clearer mask creation and centered placement controls.
- Download a Windows x64 ZIP as a fallback when the Microsoft Store is unavailable. The ZIP is unsigned and uses manual updates.
Catalog compatibility
Version-3 edit records continue to load and migrate in memory to the current format. Legacy version-2 edit records are no longer supported and load with default edits; reading them does not rewrite stored records or alter original photos.

alternatively, download thewin-x64ZIP below, extract the complete archive,
and runHappyPhoton.exe. The ZIP is unsigned and requires manual updates;
Windows may warn about it or block it under system policy. - Linux: download the x86_64 AppImage, make it executable, and run it, or
download thelinux-x64archive, extract it, and runHappyPhoton. The
AppImage's pinned type-2 runtime is statically linked, so nolibfuse2
package is needed; it mounts itself through the FUSE support current
distributions already ship. On a system without FUSE, run it with
--appimage-extract-and-run. - macOS: download the
osx-arm64ZIP on an Apple Silicon Mac running
macOS 14 or later. Safari may unpack it automatically; otherwise, open the
