v2.5
Fuel prices: Added functionality to calculate fuel prices based on the marginal cost of supplying fuels. Prices are computed from the dual values of NEMO's energy balance constraints and can be reported in four new variables:
vfuelprice- the price of a fuel in a region, time slice, and year. Available for time-sliced fuels that are not involved in transmission modeling.vfuelpricenodal- the price of a fuel at a transmission network node in a time slice and year. Available for fuels that are involved in transmission modeling.vfuelpricenodalannual- the average price of a fuel at a transmission network node in a year. Available for fuels that are involved in transmission modeling. NEMO averages over the time slices in the year, weighting each slice's price by its production.vfuelpriceannual- the average price of a fuel in a region and year. Available for all fuels. For time-sliced fuels, NEMO averages over the time slices in the year, weighting each slice's price by its production. For fuels involved in transmission modeling, the averaging operation covers prices and production at all transmission network nodes in the region.
To obtain fuel prices, simply request one or more of these variables when calculating a scenario (in the varstosave argument for calculatescenario. For more information, including details on the price calculation methodology, see the documentation for fuel prices.
