Selldone Background Removal

Selldone Background Removal — open-source AI background removal API

Selldone Background Removal is a self-hosted FastAPI service that removes the background from images using deep learning. Send an image to POST /remove-bg and receive a transparent PNG at the original size. It uses the pre-trained IS-Net model from DIS (recommended) or the earlier U²-Net model, and runs on CPU or an NVIDIA GPU.

Where it fits

Background removal is an independent microservice with no dependency on other Selldone packages. In a Selldone workflow it prepares clean product images before they are uploaded with the Backoffice SDK and displayed in a Storefront.
