Changes

• Bundles Foreseerr v0.14.0. Simkl links through Simkl's AUTH V2 with Foreseerr's own Simkl app, so nothing needs to be registered on Simkl: turn on Enable Simkl in Settings → Integrations → Simkl. An install with its own Simkl Client ID keeps it and can switch to Foreseerr's app. Library sync downloads only what changed on Simkl.
• Also from v0.14.0: watch-ahead requests no longer monitor an episode again after it was unmonitored outside Foreseerr before it was downloaded, Simkl sliders show their names in Discover's edit mode, See More cards preview the titles after the row, and the Quick Connect dialog shows its large code again.
• Includes Foreseerr v0.13.4: completed watch-ahead episodes whose files were deleted are no longer searched again.
• Ships builds for Jellyfin 10.11 and 12. The plugin's numeric versions are 0.1.0.1060 and 0.1.0.1061, respectively.

Upgrade notes

• New Foreseerr database migrations since the v0.13.3 bundled with 0.1.0-alpha.5: AddWatchAheadMonitorTracking, AddSimklRefreshToken and AddSimklWatchedEpisodes. Each user's Simkl library resyncs once.
• Back up Jellyfin's plugin configuration before updating. The plugin remains alpha with no promised compatibility or upgrade path between plugin versions.

• Bundles Foreseerr v0.13.3. Watch-ahead requests no longer monitor episodes again after their files were deleted, so a cleanup tool such as Maintainerr no longer sets off a delete and re-download loop.
• Includes Foreseerr v0.13.2: linking Simkl and saving a Simkl Client ID now show Simkl's reason when it refuses, and a wrong Client ID is rejected.
• Includes Foreseerr v0.13.1: every Discover source card shares one layout, Trakt gains Trending, Popular, and Anticipated, and public AniList lists open from an anilist.co link.

Upgrade notes

• The bundled Foreseerr migration replaces the old mapping tables. Supported whole-title TMDB overrides carry over as corrections; automatic matches are rebuilt. Old season-specific overrides and custom episode rules do not carry over.
• Anime mapping datasets now download at startup unless disabled in Settings → Mapping. They no longer require first-run opt-in.

Changes

• Anime mapping packs are no longer downloaded on first run. Enable the ones you want under Foreseerr's Settings → Mapping; until then, Mapping and AniList settings show a warning, and some anime may not show up or be requestable. Installs that already have packs keep them.

Fixes

• Installing or refreshing a mapping pack no longer makes Foreseerr stop answering for minutes, which Jellyfin reported as 504 Gateway Timeout on /Foreseerr.
• The calendar's Discover titles button opened the 404 page. An empty calendar now also says when no Sonarr or Radarr server is connected.

Fixes

• Better Trakt is now detected when it is installed as a drop-in for the official Trakt plugin (same Trakt.dll and plugin ID, named "Better Trakt"). Before, Foreseerr did not switch Trakt to Better Trakt on such servers. Existing installs pick it up on the next Jellyfin restart, unless a Direct Trakt app is configured.

Notes

• The plugin now lives in its own repository. Add https://selmant.github.io/jellyfin-plugin-foreseerr/manifest.json under Dashboard → Plugins → Repositories if you installed from an older URL.
• On NixOS, the bundled Foreseerr server needs programs.nix-ld.enable = true;. Alpine-based Jellyfin images cannot run it.

Foreseerr for Jellyfin 0.1.0-alpha.1 (Foreseerr 0.11.0)

First alpha of Foreseerr for Jellyfin, a third-party plugin that runs Foreseerr inside Jellyfin and signs users in with their Jellyfin account.

Install

1. Jellyfin → Dashboard → Plugins → Repositories → add
   https://selmant.github.io/jellyfin-plugin-foreseerr/manifest.json
2. Install Foreseerr from the catalog and restart Jellyfin. Jellyfin 10.11 and 12 each get their own build from the same release.
3. Open Foreseerr as a Jellyfin administrator first; that account becomes the Foreseerr owner.
4. Optional: install File Transformation for a Foreseerr button in the Jellyfin Web header.

Manual install: extract foreseerr-jellyfin-10.11.zip or foreseerr-jellyfin-12.zip into Jellyfin's plugins/Foreseerr/ folder and restart Jellyfin.

What's included

• Foreseerr served at <Jellyfin>/Foreseerr/, including Jellyfin on a sub-path, with Jellyfin sign-in and no separate password.
• Jellyfin address, API key, libraries, locale, and first administrator imported automatically; the setup wizard is skipped.
• Jellyfin administrators are Foreseerr admins.
• Foreseerr adapts to running inside Jellyfin: Back to Jellyfin instead of Sign Out, Jellyfin connection settings managed by the plugin, and no local users, passwords, or web push.
• Users Foreseerr refuses see why (for example, when new sign-ins are off).
• Plugin page in the Jellyfin dashboard with status, a direct link, and the public Jellyfin URL for notification links.

Requirements and limits

• Jellyfin 10.11 or newer, on Linux x64, Linux arm64, or Windows x64.
• Jellyfin Web in a browser. The official mobile and TV apps cannot open Foreseerr.
• Behind a reverse proxy, forward /Foreseerr and /ForeseerrPlugin, and add the proxy to Jellyfin's Known Proxies.

Known issues

• On the first start, Foreseerr downloads its anime mapping data and can stop responding for a minute or two while it stores it.
• Not yet tested behind a real TLS-terminating reverse proxy.
