SwitchStream v2.0.0

A massive update to SwitchStream bringing native torrent streaming, enhanced player controls, C-Drama/K-Drama addon support, local video playback, and major performance optimizations.

🚀 Highlights & What's New in v2.0.0:

⚡ Direct Torrent Streaming (In-Memory RAM Buffer)

  • Native on-device BitTorrent streaming engine using a circular memory buffer (torrentfs).
  • Downloads head and tail pieces first for rapid stream startup without flash memory wear on your SD card.
  • Note: Torrent streaming must be enabled in Settings ([X] on Home -> Enable Torrent Streams -> ON).
  • Optional internal/external TorrServer endpoint support (http://127.0.0.1:8090).

🎮 Enhanced Video Player Controls

  • 5-Second Joy-Con Skips: Tap Left / Right on D-Pad or Joy-Cons to skip 5 seconds, featuring a dynamic accumulating badge (+5s, +10s, -15s).
  • Hold [R] for 2x Fast-Forward: Long press [R] during playback to fast-forward at 2x speed.
  • Dual-Side Touch Gestures:
    • Swipe vertically on the right half of the screen to adjust audio volume up/down.
    • Swipe vertically on the left half of the screen to adjust display brightness up/down.
  • Touch Timeline Scrubbing: Drag along the progress bar to seek with real-time delta indicators.

  • Pinned "Recently Watched" carousel at the very top of the Home catalog screen.
  • Shows completion progress bars, remaining time, and one-click instant resume.

🌏 C-Drama & K-Drama Addon Support

  • Built-in support and discovery for Asian drama providers (Dramayo, K-Drama Crush, KissKH, etc.).
  • Dedicated "Asian & K-Dramas" category filter pill on the Home feed ([ZL] / [ZR]).

📁 Local Video Viewing

  • Play personal offline video files placed in sdmc:/switch/switchstream/videos/.
  • Automatic poster/thumbnail detection, watch progress tracking, and unified search inclusion.

🔍 Universal Multi-Addon Search & Bug Fixes

  • Press [Y] from anywhere to search across all installed and enabled addons simultaneously.
  • Client-side token matching ensures catalog providers without server-side search still populate results.
  • Fixed stream resolution bugs (including Streaming Catalogs addon fallback to all scrapers).
  • Smart provider deduplication combines identical movies/shows into single unified title cards.

🎨 Enhanced Catalog Loading Logic & 3D Pill Spinner

  • Embedded 3D pill loading indicator with smooth breathing pulse animation.
  • Asynchronous non-blocking catalog fetching eliminates UI freezes and hitching when browsing large libraries.

📺 Indian Live TV (250+ Channels)

  • Direct verified HLS streaming for 250+ Indian Live TV channels from Zee5, SonyLIV, and MX Player with instant start times.

📦 Installation

  1. Download switchstream.nro below.
  2. Copy it to your Switch SD card at sdmc:/switch/switchstream/switchstream.nro.
  3. Launch via the Homebrew Menu in Application Mode (Title Takeover) by holding [R] while launching any installed game.
