Typelite 1.1.2
What's New in 1.1.2
- Built-in speech is about twice as fast for short dictations: it no longer processes 30 seconds of silence after every clip.
- Results paste about half a second sooner: checking that your app is still in front no longer runs AppleScript.
- With a microphone chosen in Settings, recording starts about 0.3 seconds sooner, so your first words are not cut off.
- The interface now also speaks 繁體中文, Español, Français, Deutsch and 日本語. Choose it in Settings → General.
- Translation has its own Settings pane, and Settings now follows the three shortcuts: Dictate, Translate, Ask.
- Ask anything's sources, citations and buttons now highlight under the pointer and show the hand cursor.
- Super intelligence mode (Settings → System): a joke switch that promotes the artificial kind of intelligence to the super kind.
- Polished text pastes ordinary spaces, never invisible no-break spaces.
- About shows the real version and the app icon.

Typelite 1.1.1
What's New in 1.1.1
- Ask anything answers in your question's language and script, even when the web sources are in another language.
- Language presets now shape Dictate and Ask too, and Cantonese is recognised and written in Hong Kong characters.
- A request you dictate ("please explain this in Cantonese") is written down as you said it, never carried out in another language.
- AI polish writes spoken decimals and versions as digits ("five point five" → 5.5, "Opus Five Point Five" → Opus 5.5).
- Clicks beside the Ask panel reach the app behind it.
- Source cards show Open and Copy link as always-visible icons, so a stray click no longer opens or copies a link.
- What's New shows one release at a time, with arrows to step through older ones.
- Lighter and faster: less work while recording, a cheaper speech check, and a quicker dictionary with large word lists.

Typelite 1.1.0
What's New in 1.1.0
- Ask anything can search the web for live questions (news, scores, schedules, prices) with SearXNG: Typelite sets it up on your Mac in one click, or uses your own server.
- Answers from the web cite their sources: open the sources column beside the answer to see each page, open it or copy its link.
- Updates from GitHub Releases: Typelite downloads a new version in the background and asks you to restart. Only the version file is requested; turn it off in Settings → System.
- From 1.1.0 on, the Accessibility permission stays granted after each update. Coming from 1.0, turn it on once more after installing.
- When the text cannot be typed into the app in front, the pill offers it with a Copy button instead.
- A translation language added in Settings shows in the Translate pill straight away, without a restart.
- The pill and the Ask panel stay centred and change size smoothly, without jumps.
- Set up on Home opens the matching Settings page.
- Settings records one shortcut at a time.

Typelite 1.0.1
What's New in 1.0.1
- AI polish keeps only what you meant when you correct yourself ("at one, oh no, at two", "the first thing, sorry, the third thing").
- AI polish writes down a request you dictate ("write an email in Japanese…") instead of carrying it out or switching language.
- AI polish keeps file names, commands and short code words whole: "dot gitignore" becomes .gitignore.
- AI polish writes a name you spell out letter by letter once, with that spelling, and drops the letters.
- The installer shows the usual window: large icons and an arrow to drag Typelite to Applications.
- The setup tutorial's close button sits beside the window buttons and is easier to see.

Typelite 1.0.0
What's New in 1.0.0
- First release. Built-in speech recognition and AI polish: set up in one click, and your voice and text stay on your Mac.
- Or use your own server or API key: any OpenAI-compatible speech or chat service, or Qwen Cloud.
- Qwen3-ASR on llama.cpp as a speech server, with Chinese written in the characters of your language (for example Hong Kong Traditional for Cantonese).
- Dictate, Translate and Ask anything, each on its own shortcut; record a shortcut by pressing the keys.
- Up to three translation languages, with a Switch language key while you translate.
- Language presets from the project's library on GitHub: each language's instructions can come from a preset, and they also shape polish when you speak that language.
- The pill shows a live waveform while you speak, appears over full-screen apps, and simply fades out when it heard no speech.
- Insights on Home: how long each step took, and your speaking speed compared with your typing speed.
- Speech and AI presets: save several endpoints and switch between them.
- Microphone picker with a live input level.
- A step-by-step setup tutorial.
- Native Glass look that follows light and dark mode.
- No history: Typelite keeps no record of what you say.
