Screen reader actions

With TalkBack or Backtalk, swipe up or down on a message or conversation to choose an action, then double tap. Long press shows the same actions as a menu, for keyboards and other screen readers.

  • Your messages: read all, copy, edit, edit and resend, resend, save as prompt, new chat from here, share, links, code blocks, and delete.
  • Responses: read all, copy, regenerate, edit, new chat from here, share, links, code blocks, and delete.
  • Conversations: open, rename, export, and delete.

Regenerate and resend remove the messages after that point only after you confirm. New chat from here copies the conversation up to that message and leaves the original unchanged.

Also new since 0.1.0

  • Model lists sort A to Z, Z to A, newest first, or oldest first.
  • Profiles have a default account and model.
  • Browse Hugging Face GGUF models by most downloaded, most liked, trending, or recently updated.

Known limits

  • Samsung Galaxy AI waits on Samsung's partner SDK approval.
  • Full TalkBack and Backtalk acceptance testing is still in progress.

Install

Download BlindPilot-Android-v0.2.0.apk below and open it. It installs over 0.1.0 and keeps your accounts and conversations.

First pre-release of BlindPilot for Android, a native app for blind users built around TalkBack and Backtalk.

Features

  • Cloud chat with OpenRouter, OpenAI, ChatGPT plan sign-in, Claude, Gemini, Z.AI, Moonshot AI, Kimi, DeepSeek, Demon Route, Command Code, OpenCode Go, and OpenAI-compatible services.
  • Remote Hermes: sessions, history, slash commands, questions, and approvals.
  • Offline GGUF models through llama.cpp. Browse Hugging Face models sorted by most downloaded, most liked, trending, or recently updated. Every download is verified with SHA-256.
  • Model lists sort A to Z, Z to A, newest first, or oldest first.
  • Profiles with a default account and model.
  • Optional device assistance: the model proposes one action at a time and you approve each one. Stop is in the app and the notification.

Known limits

  • Samsung Galaxy AI is not available yet; it waits on Samsung's partner SDK approval.
  • Full TalkBack and Backtalk acceptance testing is still in progress.
  • Requires Android 9 or later on an arm64 device.
