mpvRex v3.1.0 brings a Bottom Navigation Tab Manager, a unified Media Library view, advanced file operations from the browser, and enhanced player customization, plus stability and localization updates.

Customize your primary navigation layout to suit your media consumption habits.

  • Complete Control: Dynamically show, hide core navigation tabs like Home / Files, RexShorts, Recently Played, Playlists, and Network Streaming.

✨ New Features

  • Unified Media Library View Mode (#82): Browse all local video files in a flat, non-hierarchical layout, bridging the gap between Album and Tree views with dynamic filtering and advanced Sorting controls.
  • Folder Action Bar & Advanced File Operations (#81): Selecting folders now displays a premium floating bottom action bar (FloatingBottomBar) containing quick actions for Copy, Move, Rename, and Delete, moving these options out of the crowded top bar.
  • "Mark As" Custom Watched State (#81): A newly designed MarkAsBottomSheet matching the premium MediaInfoSheet aesthetic allows you to manually mark folders and media as New, Last Played, Played / Finished, or None, instantly updating playback state and history tracking.
  • Aesthetic Modal MediaInfo Sheet (#77): Replaced full-activity launches with a premium ModalBottomSheet for media info. It fully supports mixed and multi-file selection, showing cumulative playback duration, combined file sizes, and count.
  • Inline Custom Skip Adjustment (#101): Long-press the player's Custom Skip button to invoke a tactile inline slider and preset controls (CustomSkipDurationSheet) to adjust skip length on the fly.
  • Wyzie Subtitles Key Auth (#70): Fully migrated online subtitle queries to the official sub.wyzie.io API, with support for secure API key configuration and a masked entry field. (Thanks @farhan112k!)
  • Subtitle Picker Custom Folders (#34): Set a custom default folder or auto-launch the subtitle picker in the active video's directory to find external tracks instantly.
  • Media-Only Folder Deletion: A new non-recursive deletion mechanism that targets only immediate media files (videos, audios, subtitles) while keeping directories, subfolders, and personal files completely safe.

  • Fixed: Restored the video stream context automatically after overlay/dialog dismissal.

  • Added: Unified audio and video folder dimming logic, ensuring watched folders dim automatically in Album, Tree, and File explorer views.
  • Added: Support for "Audio Files" filter toggle in Folder, Tree, and VideoSortDialogs, fully integrated with CoreMediaScanner.
  • Added: Progress Bar and Subtitle Indicator fields to FolderSortDialog and VideoSortDialog chips.
  • Fixed: Corrected tree view folder mapping so unwatched count-based dimming triggers accurately.
  • Fixed: Ensured "Show label for NEW" preference is properly respected inside FolderCard components (#61).
