First release version of Seating Plan module for Gibbon v30.0.00+
What this module does
- Lets you draw a room's furniture — desks, chairs, the board, the door — on a grid, and share that
drawing with colleagues who teach in the same room. - Seats the students who are actually timetabled into that room at that time, with their photos,
pulled live from Gibbon when the screen is drawn. - Takes the register from the seating plan. The rows it writes are ordinary Gibbon attendance
records, indistinguishable from ones taken through the Attendance module. - Picks a student at random for questioning, working through the class rather than repeating the
same few names. - Records rewards and sanctions with a tap, and can optionally write them into the Behaviour module
once a student reaches a threshold you set. - Logs a student out of the room and back in again, with the time they were gone.
- Reports on all of it — by student, class, subject, year group, form group, teacher, room or date.
What changed?
- Added 'shuffle' button to seating plan to randomise student seats.
