Orbiscreen v0.28.9
Introduce per-client KWin virtual displays and isolated touch scoping to support multiple simultaneous tablets, expand KWin input device introspection beyond event63, add automatic fallback session creation on attach for full backwards compatibility with legacy clients, and bump the release matrix across all platforms.
Features
- Per-client KWin virtual outputs (#79 by sentinelt):
- The daemon dynamically creates dedicated virtual outputs per client (
Virtual-Orbi-<key>) based onPOST /api/sessionwith device identity and native resolution. - Multiple tablets can connect concurrently, each maintaining its own independent geometry, layout, and resolution.
- Virtual displays automatically tear down on
DELETE /api/session, UDP Bye, or after an idle timeout.
- The daemon dynamically creates dedicated virtual outputs per client (
- Isolated Touch Scoping (#79 by sentinelt):
- Touch input carries
X-Orbiscreen-Sessionand scopes to each client's specific virtual output so simultaneous users do not interfere with each other. - Expanded KWin input device node introspection past
event63(intoevent256+) to guarantee uinput binding on modern kernels. - Web touch mode posts absolute
Touchcoordinates instead of relative mouse movement.
- Touch input carries
- Backwards Compatibility Fallback:
DisplayCommand::Attachautomatically provisions and attaches to a default virtual session if called without a session ID and no active sessions exist, ensuring legacy Android APKs and direct stream consumers connect cleanly.
