How it Works

PostGraph consists of two main components:

  • an (custom*) SMTP server that accepts mail from legacy SMTP clients. To offer flexibility, both TLS and non-TLS, as well as optional authentication are supported.
  • a Microsoft Graph API client that relays mails via the sendMail function via client credentials.

the rest of the code is just glue code to translate from SMTP to Graph API, a configuration cli, authentication, and some boilerplate to let you run this as a windows service.

*: i wrote a custom SMTP server instead of using something like mailin_embedded since i needed extra flexibility. E.g. auth without TLS.
