Shadow Aim v0.1.2 — smarter practice and responsive music controls
Shadow Aim now remembers your training progression and music library, and makes Juniper's music controls more responsive.
- Four-mode guided baseline, including illustrated reactive tracking. The main Practice button follows approved coaching, resumes practice, and restores original retest settings across restarts.
- Saved music folder and resumable scans. Juniper receives current scan progress and automatically chooses mood, genre, or artist queues. Next and natural playback preserve the selection; specific songs continue through related tracks.
- Confirmed song titles and volume changes, stale-control protection, and separate Luna/low control handling. Live synthetic requests applied in about 2.7 seconds; network timing varies.
- Immediate spoken round measurements while Sol/medium prepares the detailed review. New shots record center/edge placement and directional bias; older positions remain unknown.
- Deduplicated interruption handling clears buffered speech without dropping fresh replies while waiting for a final transcript. Live listening quality still needs broader validation.
- Explicit unscored sensitivity warmup and scoring countdown.
Both archives were built and exercised on native Windows and Linux CI, including first-time setup, restart, gameplay, and actual music-control integration. Automated voice checks use synthetic audio; they do not validate every microphone or spoken request. The detailed live review check took about 30 seconds, so detailed coaching is not instant.
Extract the archive and run Start Shadow Aim. First launch handles setup automatically. Close an older running copy before starting the update. ChatGPT subscription and GPT-Live/Juniper access are required for AI features; ordinary practice works without them.
Shadow Aim v0.1.1 — one launcher
Extract the download and open Start Shadow Aim. It now prepares missing voice, music, and coaching dependencies automatically before opening the game. There is no separate Setup launcher.
- Subsequent launches reuse installed dependencies.
- If an optional download fails, practice remains available and setup retries on the next launch.
- The applications-menu shortcut follows the same launcher and updates when you start a newly extracted release.
- Saved rounds, settings, and account state remain outside the release folder.
Windows includes Python and Godot. Linux requires Python 3.11+. First-time setup needs internet. Sign in with ChatGPT inside the game for coaching; Juniper/GPT-Live availability depends on your account. No account calls are made during setup.
Automated release validation runs on native Windows and Linux runners, including extracted first and second launches. Hardware microphone/audio experience still depends on the device.

Install
Windows 10/11 x64: extract the ZIP, run Setup Shadow Aim.cmd once for voice/music/Codex, then Start Shadow Aim.cmd. Godot and Python are included.
Linux x64: extract the tar.gz and run Setup Shadow Aim.sh, then Start Shadow Aim.sh. Godot is included; Python 3.11+ and Python venv support are required.
Setup needs internet access. Read the included INSTALL.md for details. Saved data lives outside the extracted app folder.
Availability
Practice works without an account. AI features depend on your ChatGPT plan, model access, and remaining usage. Juniper uses Codex's experimental GPT-Live v3 interface; access is not guaranteed for every account. Use headphones to avoid speaker feedback. Downloads are not code-signed.

Validation: Linux and Windows CI passed unit/protocol tests, all native gameplay/UI checks, and launch checks using the extracted release archives. Windows audio setup and native media imports also passed. Live account availability is checked in the app.
