Complete UI rewrite on PySide6 (Qt) — the Folio redesign.

Install

Download PDF Editor.exe below and double-click. No installer, no dependencies.

Windows SmartScreen may warn on first launch because the binary isn't code-signed. Click More infoRun anyway. You only see this once.

What's new

  • Modern editorial interface — warm typography (Inter / Instrument Serif / JetBrains Mono, bundled), terracotta accent, dark sidebar.
  • Real page thumbnails in Extract and Custom Combine via PyMuPDF.
  • Hover to magnify — 700 ms hold on any page card or file row pops a 420 px preview near the cursor so you can read the content before acting on it.
  • Smooth page drag-and-drop in Custom Combine with a clean drop indicator and no flicker.
  • Rotation animation — press R on any selection to rotate 90°.
  • Convert flow cleaned up — queue is now explicitly labeled as a combine-into-one operation, live per-file progress during conversion, no redundant save dialog, success toast with an Open action that launches the output PDF, and the PowerShell window used for Word conversion is hidden.
  • Keyboard shortcuts in Custom Combine: R rotate, Delete remove, Ctrl+A select all, Esc clear.

Supported formats

  • Extract / Combine / Custom Combine: PDF
  • Convert to PDF: PNG, JPG, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, GIF, WebP, ICO, DOC*, DOCX*, XPS, EPUB, CBZ, FB2, SVG

*Word conversion requires Microsoft Word to be installed.

Still the same

  • Fully offline — no uploads, no accounts, no internet required
  • Single portable .exe, no installer
  • MIT licensed, free forever, no watermarks or page limits
