Early alpha. Tested on one Windows 11 PC, so expect rough edges.

Downloads

  • steambro-v0.0.1-windows-x64-setup.exe: the installer. No admin rights. Start menu entry and an uninstaller.
  • steambro-v0.0.1-windows-x64.zip: portable. Unzip anywhere and keep steambro.exe and WebView2Loader.dll together.

Not signed yet. If SmartScreen warns: More info > Run anyway.

What you get

  • Xbox and Game Pass, Battle.net, Epic Games, and GOG games in Steam and Big Picture, plus Netflix, Prime Video, and Apple TV from the Xbox app. No disk scans.
  • Anything else by its exe: press +, pick it.
  • Install a game, and a Windows notification offers to add it.
  • Real artwork in all five slots. Crop or replace any of it.
  • Steam counts your playtime. A store app that steambro opened closes after the game.
  • Steam's overlay everywhere, Xbox games too. Shift+Tab or the Steam button.
  • Steam Input in Xbox games. Non-Xbox controllers need the free ViGEmBus driver; the settings tell you when.
  • One Stop in Steam ends the game. Xbox games too.
  • Apps open in full screen.
  • Battle.net or the Epic Games Launcher already open? steambro asks once and restarts it through Steam.

Mouse and keyboard work as usual. A controller is optional.
