Core research idea
PhysioCAT treats ECG-leading pulse-arrival timing as a structural prior rather than asking finite training data to rediscover which cross-modal interactions are physiologically admissible. Direct ECG--PPG attention is restricted to a literature-guided 120--450 ms envelope; reciprocal scores are aligned on the same admissible edges, learned within the band, and weighted by pairwise local signal quality.
