Clippboard 0.5.1 is the first public alpha of the offline Windows 11 x64 clipboard manager with hanging paper notes. The certified Microsoft Store edition is live under ShardCoders, with its public listing and acquisition controls verified on October 13, 2026, including the Pakistan catalog. This is an experimental release, with remaining device and installed-package checks documented below.

  • Continuous horizontal scrolling preserves velocity across trackpad input and reversals. Notes reuse viewport controls instead of rebuilding on every scroll.
  • Preview cache and decode concurrency adapt to available RAM within the user's configured limits. The idle clipboard host uses a message-only window; closing the rope releases its graphics process.
  • Six themes, interactive note feedback, content expansion and settings previews with explicit Save remain available.
  • Text, bitmap images and original file references stay encrypted locally with current-user Windows DPAPI. Configurable retention is 1–30 days, including stars. No cloud sync or application telemetry.

Use Microsoft Store for the Store trust path. Alternatively, download Clippboard-Setup-0.5.1.exe for per-user installation or extract the portable ZIP and run portable/Clippboard.exe. No separate .NET installation is needed. These separate GitHub EXE binaries are unsigned and may show SmartScreen's unknown-publisher warning; Store signing does not sign them. The unsigned submission MSIX is intentionally excluded from downloads.

Verified build: Windows CI run 38146161714, source e20a06a18bc309bc0311a57d1065077994544def, same source tree as the PR #21 merge targeted by this release. 203 CI assertions, native capture/hotkey/accepted-paste/restart, 100-copy burst, large images/files, encrypted storage bounds, five-minute idle/restart, hardware/software process cycles, EXE lifecycle and MSIX validation passed. Local scrolling allocated 33.1% fewer bytes than its measured baseline; frame scheduling outliers remain. These measurements do not promise identical RAM or frame rate on every device.

Additional release validation: PR #22 merged after run 38294288843 passed the full isolated 0.5.0-source-rebuild → 0.5.1 upgrade, encrypted text/image/file history and preference preservation, reinstall, installed preview and uninstall. Application source was unchanged. This is a rebuilt-source upgrade check, not a Store or cross-channel migration test.

On October 13, the owner confirmed downloading from Microsoft and successfully running the app. This is a user-reported Store installation/launch result; independent certificate and broader device/application checks remain separate.

Checksums, signature metadata, build provenance, the project's Apache licence and Microsoft .NET licence/notices accompany the downloads. The portable ZIP includes runtime notices. Store-signed installation, third-party destination applications, mixed-DPI/multi-monitor and physical hardware coverage remain release gates. Windows 10 and ARM64 are not advertised as supported. Elevated/restricted destinations may require manual Ctrl+V. HTML/RTF styling and virtual attachments are not preserved; file entries require accessible original locations.
