Security
- Rebuilt on Go 1.26 (1.26.10) to pick up the October 2026 Go
crypto/x509
fix (CVE-2026-111943): a forged certificate chain built on a blocklisted
intermediate CA could be accepted when the app verifies a TLS server. Also
refreshed bundled build dependencies (klauspost/compress, vite) to their
October security releases.

Fixed
- Windows: logging out now works. The app could get stuck showing your username
while every action failed as "not authenticated" — logout deleted the current
credential but a pre-2026-07 copy under%USERPROFILE%\.configwas left behind
and silently restored the stale login. (cli-core v0.68.0)

Changed
- On a plan that doesn't include the agent bridge (the free tier), the "An agent" share
destination no longer shows a "not available on this plan" error. It now shows a quiet,
informational note that sending files to your coding agents is available on Pro and Max.

Fixed
- Pausing or cancelling a transfer now takes effect reliably, including on a large
file and after a resume. Previously a pause/cancel issued while the sender was
hashing a multi-GB file (which happens before sending, and again on resume) was
ignored until the whole file had been read, so the transfer appeared to "keep
going". (cli-core v0.63.0)

Added
- You can now pause, resume, and cancel a transfer from the Transfers section. A
send you are making has Pause (keeps your place), Resume (continues from where it
stopped), and Cancel. An incoming transfer has Pause (keeps what has arrived so
the sender can resume) and Cancel (discards it). An interrupted send (the link
dropped, or the other device paused) is kept with a Resume control instead of
being reported as a failure. (cli-core v0.62.0)

Added
- Nearby now flags version compatibility before you send. A device too far apart in
version to transfer reliably is marked "update needed" and its send button is
disabled (with an explanation); one that is merely on an older version than yours
is marked "older" but can still be sent to. Based on the minimum-compatible
version each device advertises (cli-core v0.61.0).

Run it and you are done. Windows on ARM, macOS and Linux builds are under Assets at the bottom of this page.
Fixed
- Sending a file now returns you to the home screen as soon as the transfer
starts, so you see the live progress bar in Transfers. Before, the app stayed on
the "Send to " screen for the whole transfer and only dropped you home
once it had already finished. - The home feed no longer jumps back to the top while a transfer is running, so
you can scroll down to Recent during a transfer. The progress bar repaints the
feed several times a second, and each repaint had been resetting the scroll.

Added
- A Transfers section on the home screen now shows each file transfer live, in
both directions: a progress bar and percentage, the bytes moved out of the
total, the current speed, an estimated time remaining, and the elapsed time. A
finished transfer shows how long it took, then clears. This covers sending,
receiving, and downloading an offered file; receiving over the local network
previously showed no progress at all.

Added
- Nearby now shows the Share2Us version each device is running, as a small chip
beside its action buttons, so you can see which build is on the other end
before sending (and spot a device that is behind). Devices announce their
version over the local network; one running an older build that does not
announce it simply shows no chip. (cli-core v0.60.0)

Fixed
- Sending a file over the local network to a device that had restarted no longer
fails with "peer certificate fingerprint mismatch (possible MITM)" (or a
handshake error). Device codes are now tied to the device's stable identity, so
they keep working across restarts; the warning now means a genuine identity
change.
